Community College of the Air Force accredited? OK, in the past, I met the recruiters for all branches of the military. (My mother wanted me to consider all the possibilities) And there was something a recruiter told me that Marina was a bit worried: He told me that the Community College of the Air Force did not been accredited, that my credits and hours spent there would be null and void as soon as I tried to attend another university? He also almost slyly mentioned that the degrees i would be nothing more than pieces of paper, so they hold no value with the Air Force ... Im sure you can see where I am concerned about these new ... if anyone has any info with evidence, it would be much appreciated
Do not listen to this liar. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges is the national standard.
This may be the case. It is better never to attend any university premises is available on the AF. This does not mean that you will not receive an excellent education. Even when the state will shape state colleges college or a transfer of the University not all. It is a little different than the accreditation process, but something about this throughout your education plans.
You will not be much problem with some of your lower division GE ran, but with your upper division you. The most famous of the University, you will need a minimum number of credits in residence and to take certain required courses. I went to junior college in California at the School of the University of California and graduated from State University CA and I even had credits would not transfer.
ADD: When I left the army I interviewed many places. I have my diploma for Cal State Fullerton Univ. A couple of people I interviewed were contractors for the military. Both state that people want real school physics is not a www.gotmydegree @ lunch.com. I ended up taking a good job GS, I have many friends who have the same background as me, but not the same education that civilians were not so lucky.
I would recommend going to a real brick and mortar school with a good rep.
Perform a search database to CHEA http://www.chea.org/search/ I got no results.
It is true that the credits from nationally accredited schools that will not transfer to a school with regional accreditation. (Your reputation four years universities have a regional accreditation).
I stick in schools with regional accreditation.
Community College of the Air Force is not a real college.
There is a degree granting program.
You take your regular classes in universities.
All associate degrees are worthless, both the CFC and associates of ordinary colleges.
It does not matter where you graduate associates, the class will rarely be transferred directly to a 4 year program, graduate.
Your best bet is to just go get a course catalog at a university in 4 years, and look what the degree requirements are for the BS degree you want.
Then, take classes that meet these requirements of the course.
Note: For many people seem to think that if you earn a degree associates, this means that if you transfer to a 4-year university, you only have two years to graduate.
This is not how it works in the real world.
Some of your credits transfer and can be applied to obtain a 4-year degree, others do not.
$ Cursus year are very specific in what class, you must take to win the point, with very few elective credits.
CFC is an accredited degree granting program.
The CCAF is an accredited academic program and is an easy way to get a diploma Associates. Whatever.
