I ran out of Children's Tylenol, can I use half of Tylenol Motrin and a half in the same dose? My daughter had a temp of 103. I dropped to 100, Motrin. Well now it was 5:00. I gave him some Tylenol, but realized that I had not enough. Can I use a little Motrin to compensate? I want to make sure his fever does not point again! Thank you.
While you wait six hours between doses Motrin, and give some food so that it will not upset her stomach, Motrin should be good to use to reduce fever.
"You can give two Tylenol and Motrin simultaneously and many medical staff will propose to give a time and alternate every 3 hours."

"# Ibuprofen usually begins taking effect within 30 minutes and should last at least six hours. If the carrier off too early, then use a dose of acetaminophen.
# For a high fever or stubborn, alternating between acetaminophen and ibuprofen every three hours (ie a dose of acetaminophen then three hours later give ibuprofen then three hours later, acetaminophen, etc. .) These two drugs are safe to use at the same time like this.
# Compared with acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen works a bit faster, lasts a little longer, and seems to bring a fever later. "

Not because they work on different neurotransmitters in the brain.
Do not give Tylenol and Motrin at the same time. The correct dose is important and under-dosing is just as bad as the overdose. Go to the shop and more Tylenol or call a friend to go for you if you can not go out with your daughter. Also, alternating between the two is a good idea ... give Motrin, then when it is time for the next dose, give Tylenol. Keeping well hydrated, even if it is only one tablespoon of liquid in HR. I hope she feels better!
