Star Trek the original series - which are the best episodes of plugging my children? Ok, so I want to show my children, 11 and 8 years why the original Star Trek series has been so much fun. I watched in reruns as a kid and I just want to show them one or two of the best episodes, so I do not look too lame! Last year, they saw the old Batman TV show and loved it too.
Thank you, G.
Children as "The Trouble with Tribbles".
"Journey to Babel" Spock's father
"The Changeling" as a basis for the first motion picture
"The Menagerie" Parts 1 & 2 These two parter was created using the pilot episode (filmed with Jeffery Hunter, Commander. Pike) and is considered one of the best episodes.
"Balance of Terror" with the Romulan Bird of Prey
"The Devil in the Dark" Spock mind-mell with a Horta
My favorite:
"The City on the Edge of Forever" with Joan Collins
Charlie X, its all about growing.
The Trouble with Tribbles, definitely!
Also, a piece of the action (1930 gangsters!)
Shore Leave (Alice in Wonderland / White Rabbit)
They are the lightest (though Shore Leave is not that funny)
The one where children with special powers freak out
crew, the children are driving.
The one where children fists while
focusing their power on a crew member.
The Trouble with Tribbles
A piece of the action
Children should lead
Journey to Babel
And my favorite ... The Lord of Gothos
However, I would definitely recommend mixing in some TNG up their catch. It has more new research and is easier for children to follow. Until their loyalty, they may not be in TOS
I was this time when Star Trek came on television. Me and my brother would go to the neighbors to watch because they had a color TV! Beyond doubt the episode that made the biggest impact on me was the Doomsday Machine (Season 2 - Episode 6). After that, I would say that the Savage Curtain. I loved that thing rock monster.
