Best climate for playing paintball: the rain?
People playing in the rain for the love of the game and the rain adds so much diversity and a challenge for the game
When playing in the rain, everything will be muddy and slippery so starting, stopping and crouching will be harder than normal, the visibility will be lower, and the wind can make paintball more difficult scenarios. All these make playing paintball challenging which is exactly what fans look for paintball, action and emotion!
Here are some tips that you can enjoy your paintball game on a rainy day:
1. Wear something that keeps water out of your body, like a poncho, "Slicker", "Gore-Tex" or even plastic garbage bags. It is very important that you stay dry so as not to tremble because they affect your movement, the ability to order and can be very uncomfortable.
Remember to cover your head too. Wear all weatherproof covering, but make sure the water will not slide on your face and your glasses steam up. Wiping the fog from your glasses every time you stop behind a tree or a bunker can distract from your concentration on the game.
2. Take paper towels with you. The lens of your mask, even if it is a type of thermal lens will fog and towels are convenient, you can just wipe the fog. Keep in mind that you must turn away from the action - in a "sitting duck" (crouch) position - before you wipe the fog from your mask.
3. Wear boots or cleats instead of sneakers to keep your feet get all soft.
4. Wear gloves to keep hands soft.
5. Gear soaked paintball can be very annoying. You must take extra garbage bags for use as alternative coatings. These can be used to cover your equipment and to operate as a raincoat in case of emergency. Large plastic see through bags are too large to cover the head, hoppers and guns. You can actually make your marker in a firearm by a simple waterproof covering with plastic and secure with rubber bands.
There are really lots of techniques to add thrill to your paintball game: just let your imagination run wild and experiment with things. Fun in the rain!
My son has a fantastic game of CaMos gortex he found online. He really loves and I tend to accept because they repel water much better than a regular set of clothing
