Dance after removal toenail? I'm really passionate about ballet and dance for 14 years. I had the nail of my big toe out about two weeks ago, it is well and Healy does not hurt atall now. I was told it would take six months for a new nail to grow. I just want to know when I'll be able to do ballet in the normal and when I can go to the new piont
I'm glad to hear that your nails will grow again. If it had to be withdrawn because of toenail fungus, be sure to treat all the shoes you have with a fungicide spray so they do not re-contaminate your toenails. To directly control nail fungus, I recommend Lamisil cream plus tea tree oil. Some people take oral Lamisil, but it is a systemic drug and your liver function should be monitored.
You'd better not try to go to the tip until your nail grows back. The pressure and stress may deform if you do it too early. Maybe you can save the waiting time to good use in working on your stretching and technology in other areas, such as modern dance.
