Hiking Boot Bag

I brought some hiking boots for New Zealand and Australia, have hardly had any use out of them. I do not want to wear them when I have not had a backpack, and they were really awkward when I wore flats and they were in my bag.

Preference?

Do not bother to take the boots, unless you're planning on hiking or cross country are going somewhere, like Russia in mid-winter. You can always buy the right kind of shoes if you find that you need.
