Javelin Shoes

I do Javelin, shot put and discus.
For Javelin, I wanted to get shoes Javelin, but could not find anywhere that sells them in my area. Southern Ontario.
I was wondering if the track running shoes spikes do the same thing?
I know that the shoes have spikes, javelin across the bottom of the shoe, while running shoes have spikes on the front only. But I wonder if it will do the same thing?

Dorthy, because you need to plant your (non-throwing side) foot very firmly in the ground or the beach as you start, it is important that this walk have spikes on the heel. If you try to use spikes running, your foot will slip. If you throw on the grass (like many high school meets are), some soccer / futbol cleats work very well.
