OK, I'm (15) in a school dress code, the usual skirt-shirt-tigths, and we are required to wear dark shoes ... I want something different, but my mom keeps saying that lace up to Oxford are the best thing that I should wear, because they "appropriate school shoes"! to me they are really the old, I'm just tired of wearing the same

why do not you try black ballerinas? theyre cute and appropriate,

find and funky buy different colored laces. Put the pins of your favorite bands, but the laces. Or if your writing on them with Sharpie mad money. LOL I do not recommend the latter.
