I bought a new pair of shoes (Keen Hiking Shoes) and now when I do activities in my heel hurts, why? ? I used to do the same activities in skateboarding shoes that offers 0 arch support and are flat on the bottom and my heels never hurt. These shoes have arch support and now my heel pain. I wonder if I should return the shoes. Mostly, I am Kung Fu in these shoes.
I have several pairs of Keen shoes and sold them in the past as well. I do not suggest something like Kung-Fu, but I confess that I do not know many Kung-Fu is.
The only thing I can think why these shoes should cause heel pain, is that maybe you wear a shoe for non-support for so many years now with good soles your foot reorienting to the shape of the shoe. This is common with aftermarket insoles such as Spenco Superfeet and inserts. I have never heard such a thing with Keen, but it is possible. With other types of inserts I usually tell customers to withdraw after a few hours of operation and gradually increase the time they keep in the boot every day. Since the shoes Keen foot bed already in the shoe, it's pretty hard to do. My suggestion would actually wear different shoes for several hours a day until your feet adapt to the Keens. If they still hurt after a week when I visit the store and see what they have to say. Perhaps you have been taken incorrectly?
