BNP leader Nick Griffin e-mailed party members and supporters, telling them to "try and avoid" owning up to being BNP supporters when writing to complain about the treatment of two activists. The email asks people to write letters of complaint to the support of two professors - Adam and Mark Walker - both of whom have applied for BNP in the last election.
Adam Walker, described by the BNP as a "super activist, is accused of religious intolerance by the General Teaching Council (GTC) and could be struck off the teaching register if found guilty.
He left Houghton College in Houghton Sports Kepi-le-Spring, near Sunderland in 2007 after it was alleged he used a laptop for school support racist views and religious intolerance in online discussions during class. His brother Mark has lost an appeal against his dismissal of Sunnydale College, Shildon, County Durham after being accused of accessing the BNP website during business hours in school.

Mr. Griffin called for supporters of the BNP email or telephone the GTC to protest against "harassment fascist", but admit their political affiliation.
