Custom service charges when importing goods from the United States in the United Kingdom? Hello, I want to buy a pair of shoes Osiris Abel for $ 60 (approx. £ 30) at Skate America, but I'm a little tired of taxes imposed on imported goods. My question is how much would they charge on a pair of shoes costing £ 30?
Goods over £ 18 in value are taxed at 17.5% VAT, plus then there are the fees for the "privilege" of shipping your items and clearing them (Royal Mail charges I think about surplus of £ 8 in fees).
