Roller Blades

Roller BladesRollerblading?

I have a pair of inline skates as a gift. I do not know how to use them. How do I learn?

Have you ever skated on quad skates (4 wheels in a rectangle) or ice skates? If so, you should be able to get up and move in a short time.

Before leaving, I strongly recommend a helmet and wrist guards. If you fall, your hands are likely to be beaten unless you have some protection against them. Hitting your head is much less common, but the results are much worse. I know people who have had concussions from falling and hitting his head and one who died in a relatively safe place, when he hit his head on a concrete floor.
Pads others depend on how much you care and how you're likely to fall. The knees tend to fight a lot in a fall. Usually when you get that include knee pads, you also get elbow. They are good to use until you get comfortable and can take a decision thereon.

You can get information from beginner www.getrolling.com/. Liz list, select a beginning has links to specific skills (with the promotion of his book and teachings). Book of Liz is very good.
Look especially braking and articles stride.
The braking section includes the basic position for beginners to use with skating.

If you are at all uncomfortable at first. Put your skates and stand on a carpet or grass. This allows you to get used to the balance. (If you're a harder type of carpet, you can take your first few strides that way.

The lessons will help you improve your skills much faster than without them and can help you avoid bad habits that slow you down or make it more likely that you'll fall.
If you decide to take a lesson, I recommend you learn to stand up and first shot (I saw people who could not do it when I met them), as this will teach you lesson the actual use of skates instead of a defense.

If you want to take lessons, I want a local skating club (google search works well for this) because they know who the instructors are local.
You can also go to www.unitedskateschools.org /% 20Dire members ... to find a certified by the group on the quality of their teaching.

The next thing is how to stop.

get on them, and go .... as slipping in the snow

You can take courses or if you are able to get up in them is really easy to start. Try to maintain balance, and at first I would like to try, would be the smoothest surface you can find nearby. rolling start by trying to walk like you normally would, and once you get used to it, try to drag their feet tilted toward each other. You may need an open place to start. Or I think you can just go to a rink and take the ramp until you get used to.

obtain an 8 year old to teach u
