Sleep problems toddlers - professional advice and personal advice We are all aware of how the baby sleep quality is an essential basis for its health and development. Only one of the main reasons is baby to sleep at night is a must in parenting books. The pleasure of seeing a baby sleep is hardly measurable, but the fact of seeing and hearing all night crying is torture for a parent.
Some professional and personal advice that I used as auxiliaries of my journey to have a baby sleep independently of one year.
1. Wind your baby.
A hassle-free routine will help establish sleep patterns of your baby and in turn give a child more content into the night.
- Choose the same time each night to put baby to bed. If you want your baby to sleep in a bed 20 hours before starting the routine 20 minutes before eight.
- Turn down the lights and get in the mood to relax. This will allow your baby know it is almost time to sleep.
- A quiet with little noise
- Rock you baby or cuddling for a while. Do not feed your baby at this time. Dinner should be completed before sunset. Make sure it has been fed before entering the time.
- Take the baby in his crib and keeping the lights in his dark room. Singing a lullaby, and then say goodnight. If you need to stay in the room with the baby for some time did not speak and have no contact with eyes. Eye contact and vocal sounds of Mom and Dad arouses the attention of your child.
- For a child, you can give a bath and / or a baby massage, then a story (with hugs), then to bed. Singing a lullaby. Now say goodnight.
The routine above, you choose must be respected at all night, by any person who puts your child to bed. When you reach this goal, no worries, parents and the baby are halfway to sleep every night sky.
2. Lil 'light, lavender and music
Essential oil of lavender and music are a wonderful combination to relax and soothe the senses. Your baby is no different. Just do the following:
- sprinkle a few drops of essential oil of lavender on his pillow. Take care to seal the bottle and to come when baby can not reach.
- Soft Play soothing music for him, preferably orchestral music. To do this, before reading the story or sing a lullaby for your baby can begin to relax.
- Put a nightlight in the nursery so that it does not feel as scared when you're not. Using an aquarium as a night light is an idea worth exploring. Your baby can watch the fish as he falls asleep.
3. Baby reverse psychology.
This is a baby who is old enough to understand a little what you say about him. It's a little but it can go a long way.
If you have decided to use a small aquarium to help in this direction, he placed in an area where it can be seen as lying in his bed. Tell him how the aquarium and at bedtime, he can watch the fish dance to the music. Give him a 1-2 things to see or read in the tank. As you are winding down at him saying he did not need to sleep (reverse psychology) but he can watch the fish dance to music in water, but must remain lying in bed. Give him small things to look into the aquarium. When you put him in his bed briefly things to find the fish and dancing. Do not take too much time with the story and / or lullaby. It should be brief, but without haste. If you notice that your baby is moving toward the stage crying, when he went to bed something you can try is to make an agreement with him that you will read two stories instead of 1 or 2 songs instead 1 if he promises to stay in bed and not cry. Do not push the words "sleep" or t.
